St. Vincent de Paul Toledo Wants Your Old Car
The vehicle donation program helps to feed, clothe and house the needy.
Toledo, OH, March 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Toledo Council of St. Vincent de Paul is undertaking an advertising campaign for the Vehicle Donation Program that uses the proceeds from the sale of the vehicles to help feed, clothe and even house families who are struggling in these tough economic times. The first phase of this campaign is using billboards near Napoleon and in north Toledo. There will also be information provided through social media, the Toledo council website and through other outreach channels.
The proceeds from vehicle donations will provide essential needs such as food, shelter and housing, elderly care, medicines and much more. The process is very easy for the donor. They can call (800) 322-8284 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and in a few minutes arrange to have the car picked up with all of the paperwork sent directly to them, including the documentation for their tax deduction. SVdP is a 501(c)(3) organization with more than 80% of all Vehicle Donation proceeds going to the donor's local community.
The Toledo Council of St. Vincent de Paul is part of the largest Catholic lay organization in the world and is made up of more than 50 SVdP conferences at Catholic parishes across northwest Ohio. Thousands are served across northwest Ohio each year with food, rent and mortgage assistance, utility bill payments, clothing, furniture, medicine, transportation, counseling and much more.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul offers tangible assistance to those in need on a person-to-person basis. It is this personalized involvement that makes the work of the Society unique. This aid may take the form of intervention, consultation, or often through direct dollar or in-kind service. An essential precept of the Society's work is to provide help while conscientiously maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of those who are served.Thousands are served across northwest Ohio each year with food, rent and mortgage assistance, utility bill payments, clothing, furniture, medicine, transportation, counseling and much more.
