Stewart Relocates Durham Office to New Downtown Location
North Carolina Engineering and Landscape Architecture Firm Moves Office to the Heart of Downtown Durham
Durham, NC, March 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Robert Macia, PE, LEED AP, president of Stewart (http://www.stewartinc.com), one of the largest engineering and landscape architecture design firms in North Carolina, has announced that the firm has relocated its Durham office to the historic Kress Building at 101 West Main Street in Downtown Durham. Stewart is the result of a recent merger between Stewart Engineering and HadenStanziale, a landscape architecture and civil engineering firm that has been located in Durham since 1986 and is dedicated to the community. This move will allow Stewart to continue its commitment to the entire Durham region.
The new 5,100-square-foot office is located in the heart of revitalized downtown Durham. Once the site of a highly recognized “five and dime” department store called S.H. Kress & Co., the building is an art deco architectural gem. The floors are the original polished Terrazzo and the corner curvilinear glass gives wonderful light and exposure into the office’s lobby. Located on street level, the storefront space makes it easy for clients to park on the street and access the office, while providing a view of street activity to Stewart staff members and visitors. The building’s central location provides easy access to many restaurants and entertainment venues as well as public offices in downtown.
