Author Marian Tee Explores BDSM in New Adult Erotic Romance

In the book, readers get to meet Derek Christopoulos, a gorgeous and wealthy 21-year-old used to hiding his masterful Dom-like ways under a laidback and charming exterior. His object of desire: geeky and skittish Jaike Hepburn, a girl who desperately denies her desire to be Derek's Sub, so much so that she becomes the girlfriend of Derek's rival.
Asked to explain about what makes her latest novel different from the rest, Tee believes its college setting and the age of her characters will give readers a unique story to enjoy. "I wanted to show how BDSM isn't just a lifestyle. It can be an integral part of who you are, and realizing this at a young age, like what happened to both my characters, can be terrifying. Also, when you're young, you're more prone to making mistakes, and I wanted my Hero---Derek---to be like that. Imperfect and real, which I think makes the things he do for Jaike all the more touching."
This is also Tee's first time to co-write a novel, and she describes the experience as fantastic and incredibly helpful.
