California Sports Hall of Fame Celebrates Class of 2013 Induction Ceremony Sunday, June 9
Ontario, CA, March 05, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The California Sports Hall of Fame will induct its Class of 2013 featuring six California sports legends, Luc Robitaille, Tony Gwynn, Florence Griffith Joyner, Joe Montana, Coach John Robinson and Greg Louganis, during its 7th annual Induction Ceremony on Sunday, June 9th 5:00 p.m., at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, CA. Many former inductees and sports celebrities have been invited to attend, meet and greet guests and participate in an auction featuring rare sports memorabilia. Proceeds will benefit underprivileged youth.
“We are proud to continue our tradition of recognizing incredible Californians who have made outstanding contributions at the highest level in sports,” said Christian Okoye, Founder, California Sports Hall of Fame. “The Class of 2013 truly embodies what sports is all about and we are excited to honor them during this special evening, which will also benefit at-risk youth.” The Class of 2013 was selected by a special committee, comprised of past California Sports Hall of Fame inductees and celebrity athletes, for their outstanding contributions to the world of sports in California and/or for their ties to the state.
Many former inductees will be in attendance to meet and greet guests and welcome the Class of 2013. Past inductees that have been invited include California sports celebrities such as Ken Norton, Dick Vermeil, David “Deacon” Jones, Eric Dickerson, Tommy Lasorda, Dan Fouts, Dave Winfield, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Mike Powell, Tom Flores, Marcus Allen, Cheryl Miller, Karch Kiraly and many more.
