Donors Send Children to Summer Camp

A Donor partnership with Penn-York Camp allows families with financial needs to send their children to camp.

Ulysses, PA, March 05, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Board of Directors at Penn-York Camp has established a campership fund that allows donors to send children to camp who would not otherwise be able to attend. Camps include 4 weeks of day camp for 5-7 year olds, one week and two week camps for those 8-10, one and two week camps for 11-13 and an assortment of specialty camps for teens.

Penn-York Camp provides a wholesome environment for children to develop physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually. Activities include a 200 foot water slide, swimming pool, archery, canoeing, mountain biking, rock climbing, water skiing, challenge course, nature hikes, crafts, games and more.

The first session of camp begins on June 30th and continue through the 2nd week of August. This year parents may register online and will receive an early-bird discount of $65 if they do it by March 15. In addition to the discount, parents may request a campership of $50, $100 or more.

According to Board President, David Smoker, “Every child should have the opportunity to go to camp.” This summer Penn-York hopes to host over 500 children. Donors that are interested in sponsoring a child may do so through their local church, community organization or directly with Penn-York Camp.
