Teen Ethics Survey Announced by Chuck Gallagher, Choices Foundation Founder

The Choices Foundation, a national non-profit 501(c)3 foundation, designed to educate people about choices, consequences and ethics through presentations, training, and educational scholarships announces preliminary plans for a North Texas teen ethics survey.

Dallas, TX, August 06, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Choices Foundation founder and motivational speaker, Chuck Gallagher, announces the preliminary plans for a North Texas teen ethics survey.

On a National level Junior Achievement has conducted similar surveys, however, this survey is specific to North Texas teens and will not only survey teen attitudes and opinions about ethics and ethical choices, but capture the data in such a way that it can be correlated to geographic areas and local Independent School Districts (ISD’s).

“We feel that this data will not only give us a bench mark about teen choices and ethical attitudes for our North Texas teens, but will also provide direction to the Choices Foundation in our efforts to provide meaningful educational materials for our teens,” states Gallagher. Currently the Choices Foundation is looking for corporate sponsors to help fund this initiative.

The Choices Foundation, a national non-profit 501(c)3 foundation, is designed to educate people about choices, consequences and ethics through presentations, training, and educational scholarships.

In 1996, as a result of making unethical choices, Chuck Gallagher was an inmate in federal prison. Since prisons provide the opportunity of significant time alone, they are places where real growth from lessons can occur, a form of rehabilitation. As such, through self-evaluation some people can experience truly meaningful inner changes. Gallagher was allowed to participate in a program where inmates shared their experiences and made presentations to impressionable youth in school. The experience was profound and the introspection that followed became the spark that established the Choices Foundation.

As we journey through life often unusual circumstances can help us find a meaningful purpose for our existence. Every choice we make has a consequence, sometimes positive or sometimes negative, each a lesson. Our mistakes can often imprison us and frequently become our teacher. When we least expect it and just when we need it most, often we find a helping hand along the way. Sometimes we are presented the rewarding opportunity to “pay it forward” by extending a hand to other people.

If youth in our colleges, universities, or high schools can understand the connection between choices and consequences and the importance of ethics and integrity, perhaps they can be spared painful life lessons. Learning from Gallagher’s experiences or the experiences of other people can provide a successful outcome. By illuminating stories from those who have experienced negative consequences and recovered, the Choices Foundation provides hope, inspiration and guidance.

Sponsorship opportunities are available to help fund this program needed program and the educational programs offered by the Choices Foundation.
