La Frontera Arizona – EMPACT-SPC Hosts Inaugural “Extreme Empact” VIP Event at US Airways Center
Phoenix, AZ, March 07, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Board of Directors at La Frontera Arizona – EMPACT-SPC called on the Phoenix Suns this year to host, help publicize and raise awareness of their first annual Extreme Empact VIP event, launching the “Reach Out. Check In. Save a Life” Campaign. This successful event was held on February 26, 2013 at the FlexPrint Club inside US Airways Center and attended by over 700 La Frontera Employees and 40 VIP guests.
It was a spectacular event that helped raise awareness for the importance of creating a mentally healthy community highlighting what each of us can do as parents, siblings, friends and co-workers to fight depression, end loneliness and prevent suicide. In addition, information about how the staff of La Frontera-EMPACT SPC work tirelessly each day to help and support those in crisis and who have lost a loved one to suicide was provided to attendees.
“The Phoenix Suns were honored to be part of the inaugural event and look forward to continued support of the program. La Frontera – EMPACT SPC does amazing work in the community and we are happy to be part of an organization focused on building a healthier, stronger Arizona,” stated Jason Rowley, President of the Phoenix Suns.
This inaugural event raised resources to ensure programs are available for those struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and loss. Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton commented, “Preventing suicide is a very important issue and one I care deeply about. The people of Arizona are our greatest resource and must be our highest priority. Protecting the health and wellness of our people is key to ensuring a stronger future for our families and communities. As mayor, I ask all Phoenicians to take time to learn about suicide warning signs and talk to young people in their lives about this issue. Together, we can make a difference.”
