Storage Village Art Contest Illuminates Community
Storage Village is hosting an art contest to support local artists while beautifying their community. Applications are being accepted now through March 31st.
North Bethesda, MD, March 08, 2013 --(PR.com)-- This spring, Storage Village is collaborating with local artists for the inaugural Village Illuminated Art Contest. This event will serve to showcase local artists, beautify our community, and celebrate Storage Village's commitment to community service.
On April 14th, Storage Village will transform their property into a canvas for the celebration of community service. Artists have 8 hours to turn a 7'x8' exterior storage unit door into a work of art. Each door will be painted by a different artist, with their creative expression of "community service."
"I am so grateful to be able to inspire and ignite art within my community. By supporting art within the community, individuals are encouraged to think creatively and share their ideas." -J. Goldberg, Director of Marketing, Storage Village Self Storage
Storage Village, a leading self-storage company in Maryland and Virginia, is dedicated to supporting the neighborhoods they serve. They furthermore support the arts in their community through volunteering for arts non-profits and by donating storage space to local arts organizations.
Storage Village is seeking to creatively engage our community, and is encouraging artists of all ages and experience to participate. They are accepting applications now through March 31st. Artists can choose to work with acrylic paint or spray paint, and all paint will be provided by Storage Village. At the end of the contest, a panel of judges will determine the top 3 paintings. Each of the top 3 artists will receive a cash prize.
