Call for Presentations Open for 11th Annual NACCE Conference on Entrepreneurship Education
The National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship is looking for experts in entrepreneurship to submit proposals for presentations for the organization's 11th Annual Conference, to be held October 13-16, 2012 in Charlotte, NC.
Springfield, MA, March 08, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE), the nation’s leading organization focused on promoting entrepreneurship through community colleges, is asking experts in entrepreneurship to submit proposals for presentations for the organization’s 11th Annual Conference, to be held October 13-16, 2012 in Charlotte, NC. NACCE is looking for engaging presenters and content that successfully ties into the conference theme: Fueling the Global Economic Engine.
Proposals for dynamic, compelling, and interactive sessions are sought with content for the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. “When it comes to the best ideas and getting results, community colleges are more often than not, the answer,” said NACCE Executive Director Heather Van Sickle. “We need presenters with strategies and solutions in entrepreneurship to make this, our 11th conference, worthy of an event that marks the start of our second decade of promoting entrepreneurship education as an effective tool for economic growth.”
This year’s conference tracks will focus on the five action steps that make up NACCE’s Presidents for Entrepreneurship Pledge. “These are actions that we believe are crucial for community colleges to advance entrepreneurship in their communities,” said Van Sickle.
The steps are:
1. Create or Expand Internal & External Teams Dedicated to Entrepreneurship
2. Increase Entrepreneurs' Engagement in Community Colleges
3. Engage in Industry Cluster Development
4. Leverage Both Community College and Community Assets to Spur Innovation and Job Creation
5. Create Buzz and Broad Exposure of your College's Commitment to Entrepreneurship
