Union, NJ, March 08, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Union Volkswagen celebrates 2 years of success and growth as a family owned and operated VW dealership on Route 22 West in Union NJ. Owner Tony Altomare has been in the automobile business since 1965 where he got his start in a small Ford dealership in his home town of Bari, Italy. He moved with his family to the US and continued in the automobile business starting as a used car sales person then selling new cars and eventually moving to a New Car Sales Manager position in one of the best Ford dealerships in New Jersey. In 1981 Tony Altomare started his own dealership in Englewood NJ where he sold high line used cars such as Porsche, Mercedes, BMW and Ferrari. In 1986 he added a Maserati Franchise that he held until 1989 when he sold it to buy a small VW dealership in Bernardsville NJ.
Bernardsville VW was so successful that in 2008, Volkswagen awarded him a dealership location in Union NJ. He purchased properties on Route 22 in 2010 and renovated two 10,000 square foot buildings into two beautiful, state of the art showrooms at 2155 Route 22 West in Union NJ. One of the showrooms is dedicated to Certified Pre-Owned Volkswagens, high line import vehicles as well as value priced domestics. The main building houses the new car showroom which is in the latest white frame design required by Volkswagen of America for all new VW dealerships. The Pre-owned showroom can display more than 12 vehicles while the New Car showroom can easily display 17 new VW models.
Union VW is the only VW dealership on Route 22 from New York City all the way to Pennsylvania. The location just off the Garden State Parkway exit 140 makes this dealership convenient to shoppers from towns in North Jersey such as Clifton, Rutherford, Bloomfield and Newark.
