About New Eyes for the Needy
New Eyes for the Needy works to empower children and adults in the United States and overseas with the improved vision they need to pursue a better quality of life for themselves, their families and their communities. To that end, New Eyes purchases new prescription eyeglasses through a voucher program for children and adults in the United States who cannot afford glasses on their own. New Eyes accepts, recycles and distributes donated glasses for poor people overseas.

Since its founding in 1932, New Eyes has brought improved vision and hope for a better future to more than 7,500,000 people in the U.S. and around the world. New Eyes for the Needy is a non-profit, non-sectarian volunteer organization based in NJ. For about $58, New Eyes for the Needy can improve a person's life. Each new pair of glasses purchased by New Eyes helps a child succeed in school, an adult secure a job, or provide a senior citizen with a better quality of life.
