Mitchell Automotive and the Christian Mission Pantry Fight Hunger in the Wiregrass

Dothan, AL, March 10, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Hunger is an issue for many families throughout the Wiregrass. To do their part for the local community, each year the Mitchell Automotive Group hosts a food drive to restock the Christian Mission Pantry after the holidays. For the third annual food drive, the Mitchell Automotive Group collected twice as many donations, delivering two truckloads of non-perishable food items to the Christian Mission Pantry.

The food drive began in January at all three of the Mitchell Automotive locations. So many donations were received that Mitchell Automotive decided to extend the food drive through the end of February in order to collect as many donations as possible. Donations were organized and taken to the Christian Mission Pantry on Monday, March 4 by all three Mitchell Automotive General Managers.

The Christian Mission Centers provide hot, home-cooked meals seven days a week at their Enterprise location, as well as twice a week delivery service for those who are homebound. They offer not only food, but shelter and counseling. The Mission is capable of assisting area residents in crisis through the generous donations, time, and prayers of the community.
