Buckhead Betties Sponsors 3rd Annual Women’s Leadership Summit
Buckhead Betties announced its sponsorship of the 3rd Annual Women’s Leadership Summit, hosted by the Junior League of Greensboro, to be held March 22, 2013.
Greensboro, NC, March 13, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Buckhead Betties announced its sponsorship of the 3rd Annual Women’s Leadership Summit, hosted by the Junior League of Greensboro, to be held March 22, 2013.
The 2013 keynote speaker, the Honorable Dr. Aldona Wos, Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and Former US Ambassador to Estonia, will address the summit theme "Balance Your Brilliance."
The Summit is one of the major fundraisers for the Junior League of Greensboro with all monies raised going toward its mission of improving the community through the action of trained volunteers and developing the potential of women.
Christon Halkiotis, Junior League of Greensboro Leadership Development Committee Chair, 2012-2013 stated, "This year, we chose the theme 'Balance Your Brilliance' as a nod to the much sought-after work-life balance unique to the experience of women. We are always juggling so many balls in the air at one time, and we wanted to provide valuable sessions to woman about how they can maximize their success, talents, and brilliance in every area of their lives to enable them to maximize their potential as leaders.”
President Debbie Brown, Buckhead Betties, stated, “We are so proud to participate in the Summit and support the Junior League of Greensboro. Their continued leadership, outreach and mentoring gives so much back to our community.”
In 2011, the Greensboro Junior League was the first League in the country to host a day-long professional development seminar open to all women of the community from all levels of leadership and across many professional careers.
In 2013, the Junior League of Greensboro entered into a partnership with Caesar Cone Elementary School and will be donating funds, implementing programs, and volunteering there with the goal of enriching the lives of the Cone students, staff, and parents.
