SPEC Engineering Completes Startup Phase for New Food Ingredient Manufacturing Facility
12,000 lb./hr. Capacity Design Build Project for the Ridgeland Fibers Division of Sweetener Supply Corp.
Chicago, IL, March 13, 2013 --(PR.com)-- SPEC Engineering has successfully completed the startup phase of Ridgeland Fiber’s new manufacturing facility. SPEC signed on to the project at inception and provided, design engineering, planning, custom equipment manufacturing, electrical and controls integration and complete system installation. SPEC provided complete design-build services for the new grinding, blending, and packaging facility with 32 MM lb./yr. nameplate capacity.
The facility was designed to meet GFSI, SQF FSSC 22000, ISO22000 and BRC food safety design and specifications. The 18 month project consisted of complete build out from site selection through site development, in-plant improvements, utility upgrades, equipment supply specification and implementation through start-up and commissioning.
SPEC provided engineering services, custom manufacturing, electrical design, system automation, and equipment for processing, conveying, packaging, food safety, and dust explosion venting protection. SPEC is providing continued services for startup support, system center lining, runtime efficiency, spare parts, wear parts support, trouble shooting, and system warranty.
