River Expeditions Announces the 31st Annual Whitewater Rafting "Icebreaker Weekend"

Oak Hill, WV, March 14, 2013 --(PR.com)-- River Expeditions invites new and veteran rafters alike to come out to their annual Icebreaker Weekend to welcome in springtime. This exciting weekend package includes white water rafting on Saturday or Sunday, a BBQ cookout after rafting, 2 nights camping and lite breakfast daily, starting at just $89 per person – more than half off the regular price of this popular package. In addition to all day excitement, guests can continue the fun into the evening with the "Ice Breaker Party" Hosted at The Red Dog River Saloon at River Expeditions Adventure Resort, the party features music, games, contests, and complimentary beverages.

River Expeditions offers rafting trips on the New River from April to October. White water rafting is an exciting and different weekend full of fun, located in the backyard of Washington D.C, in New River Gorge, West Virginia. River Expeditions offers a weekend full of exhilaration and excitement for those new to rafting and experienced rafters. Trips usually last about 5-7 hours, including lunch. Almost anyone from 6 to 86 can find whitewater fun on the New River. No experience is needed on the more relaxed sections of the river, but there are plenty of opportunities for veteran rafters to test their skills and get their adrenaline pumping. Although being able to swim is helpful, many non-swimmers raft with River Expeditions each year since each guest is given all necessary safety equipment: a Coast Guard approved Type V Life Jacket, Paddle and Helmet.
