The Gauley River is known to be an intense course, and one of the best white water rafting experiences in the world. This trip is a great chance to get an adrenaline rush through scenic southern West Virginia. The Gauley River offers both summer and fall rafting, in addition to lower, upper, and double upper river rafting. Gauley Savings days are a great chance to experience both nature and thrills at an exceptional value.
White water rafting consists of navigating a portion of river on an inflatable raft. Trips are usually 5-7 hours, including lunch. No experience is necessary on the milder sections of the river and being able to swim is not necessary. Each guest receives all necessary safety equipment: a Coast Guard approved Type V Life Jacket, Paddle and Helmet.
River Expeditions features a multitude of onsite lodging options with a choice for every taste. If “glamping” (glamorous camping) is for you, then be sure to try the one of the new, five bedroom vacation rentals with full kitchen, two full baths, hot tub, wifi, gas grill, and other amenities. Guests can also stay in a Cozy, Leisure, or Deluxe cabin, which can sleep up to 11 people.
