New York, NY, August 08, 2007 --(PR.com)-- "An Edward Hopper Dream," Music Inspired by the Paintings of Edward Hopper by Steve Vozzolo with The Burt Teague Project. Tragic Poet Records is pleased to announce a new CD Release.
A collection of 18 original songs inspired by the paintings of Edward Hopper. This pop/rock music has a touch of jazz and blues blended with a surreal and dreamlike quality. Edward Hopper is considered to be among the greatest of American painters. His work is very evocative and inspires varied interpretations. His most well known painting, "Nighthawks," inspired the title song of the collection. With a significant amount of artistic and poetic license, each song stands on its own and also "connects" to the specific Edward Hopper paintings that were the original inspiration for this unique concept album.
Steve Vozzolo's last release was in 2005. "All the Colors of the World," Music Inspired by the Paintings of Norman Rockwell is a collection of 18 songs in the Adult Contemporary/AAA/Americana genre. The CD includes a beautifully designed, full color 12 page booklet with song lyrics and licensed images of
21 Norman Rockwell paintings. World class studio musicians are featured on the CD. Arlo Guthrie had previously recorded one of the songs, "Norman Always Knew," on his label, Rising Son Records. Arlo performed the song in concert at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA.
