GeoPlace Announces Date of Annual Conference
GeoPlace’s annual conference is announced for 9th October 2013 at the Institute of Education in London.
London, United Kingdom, March 15, 2013 --(PR.com)-- GeoPlace has announced the date of its annual conference, exhibition and presentation of the 2013 Exemplar Awards.
The event will take place on 9th October 2013 at the Institute of Education, Bedford Way in London. The target audience is local government address and street information specialists, together with street naming and numbering officers from local authorities in England, Scotland and Wales.
The work that local address Custodians undertake has a wide impact across the whole of the public sector as all parts of government can now use the AddressBase® range of products as part of the Public Sector Mapping Agreement. The information produced by local street Custodians is underpinned by legislation and is an essential part of streamlining streetworks across England and Wales.
The conference brings together address and streets data experts to listen and discuss developments in the field, share best practice, attend training sessions and benefit from knowledge transfer.
Last year’s event attracted 327 delegates, together with a supporting exhibition of 12 suppliers, together representing over 1500 years’ worth of addressing and street expertise gathered in one room. They anticipate the 2013 event to continue to be the key event in the community’s calendar.
