An Evidence-Based Reference on Pediatric Audiologic Rehabilitation
New York, NY, March 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Infants born with significant hearing loss will also have difficulty learning spoken language, unless they are identified early and receive treatment quickly. “Pediatric Audiologic Rehabilitation,” recently published by Thieme, presents evidence-based information on the clinical and educational management of children with hearing loss who are learning spoken language from infancy through adolescence. It provides students, clinicians, and teachers with the latest practical procedures and techniques for developing auditory and spoken language skills across a broad spectrum of ages and developmental stages.
“In light of the rapid progress in hearing technology, the shift to identification of hearing loss in the first few months of life, and the interest and growth in research on spoken language outcomes, a new overview of the current world of pediatric audiologic rehabilitation is timely.” – From the Preface
This practical resource brings together current information on auditory and spoken language development from infancy to adolescence, and it will be a valuable addition to the library of practicing clinicians, students, and teachers in the field of audiologic rehabilitation.
