Dr. & Ms. Perrino, Owners of Northern Virginia Tutoring Service, Appointed to Positions with Local Arts Organization

Falls Church, VA, March 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Northern Virginia Tutoring Service, LLC, a full service tutoring company based in Falls Church, Virginia has announced the appointment of Ms. Denise Perrino as Director of Education and Dr. Ralph G. Perrino as a member of the Board of Directors of Creative Cauldron, a not-for-profit arts organization in Falls Church that provides opportunities for learning and participation in the performing and visual arts for children and adults. Creative Cauldron has operated in Northern Virginia since 2002 and in 2009 it opened its new space in the ArtSpace in the city of Falls Church.

Ms. Perrino has had a long and distinguished career in the theatre. She taught theatre arts in the Fairfax County Public Schools for 34 years where she directed more than 100 full length plays. Under her direction, McLean High School was nominated for 55 Cappie Awards and won 15, including Best Play in 2002. Ms. Perrino, a 1974 graduate of Catawba College, was inducted into the Catawba College Blue Masque Hall of Fame in 2008 in recognition of her meritorious life in theatre arts. Ms. Perrino currently serves as Education Consultant and Operations Manager at Northern Virginia Tutoring Service.

Dr. Perrino established Northern Virginia Tutoring Service, LLC in 1995 after a long career in the public and private sectors. Dr. Perrino is currently an Associate Professor of Behavioral Science at Northern Virginia Community College where he has taught sociology, political science and business management since 1984. The author of several essays in professional journals and magazines, Dr. Perrino has prepared numerous position papers, management studies, and critical analyses of current issues in education. He has extensive experience working with parents, school officials and civic groups to resolve difficult problems associated with academic achievement.
