New Company Celebrates Lancaster
Regional Business Comes to a Historic City.
West Reading, PA, March 18, 2013 --(PR.com)-- It is acknowledged that the charm of the horse and buggy and other scenic Lancaster views bring over 100 million people to visit Lancaster County each year. From the horse and buggy to the red rose symbol to the area’s many covered bridges, Lancaster’s picturesque landscape and cultural icons are unmatched in their beauty. And as the oldest inland city in America, Lancaster is legendary in historical significance. Fulton Theatre is the oldest continuously operating theater in America, and Central Market was declared in 1995 as one of the “Greatest Public Places” in the United States. All these facts explain why the City Charm company has chosen a Lancaster theme for its new series of American-made sterling silver charms.
City Charm Company, LLC creates jewelry of regional significance for sale to the public or to companies and organizations. All of the company’s custom jewelry sales include a donation to a local charity. According to Justin Bortz, Artistic Director and one of the owners of the company, “We chose to expand our business to Lancaster because of its rich history and culture. And, it’s obvious that the Lancaster people treasure this rich heritage. This combination will be a winning formula for success with a Lancaster-series of charms.”
City Charm, LLC was founded in 2012 by Justin Bortz, owner of Justin Bortz Jewelers; David Johnson, owner of Tn’T Bakery; and Gary Brown, owner of Berks Digital, Inc. The company has sold thousands of Reading-series charms in retail outlets and on its website www.citycharmco.com and has donated 10% of its profit to local charities.
For the Lancaster charm series, the company has chosen to partner with two charities so far: the Fulton Opera House Foundation and the Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center. The owners of City Charm have a passion for giving back to the communities in which they do business and an excitement for creating a brand of custom jewelry that sells itself through emotional ties to the unique communities and images that are depicted. Lancaster is a perfect fit for City Charm.
