Indianapolis, IN, March 20, 2013 --(PR.com)-- BTO Sports, a leader in motocross gear, parts and accessories, has announced the results of the BTO Sports - KTM team at round 11 of the Monster Energy Supercross series at the Lucas Oil Dome in Indianapolis, IN Saturday night. Team riders Andrew Short and Matt Goerke were on the gas prepared to take on the tricky Indianapolis track.
Event Recap:
Andrew Short felt the most comfortable Saturday night since switching to the BTO Sports – KTM team. Short would find the fast line around the challenging Indy track to qualify solidly in 11th. In his heat, Short would rocket out the gate, battling up front early on. Riding strong, Short finished 3rd and advanced to the main event. In the main, using the Hinson Racing Clutch to put the power down to the ground, Short rode a smart twenty laps deep inside the top ten and finished the night in 7th place. Leaving Indy more confident on the orange bike, Short still has a hold of 8th in points going in to Toronto.
Matt Goerke came in to Indy determined to get back in to the top ten. He was on the gas as he put the hammer down in qualifying to post the 9th fastest time. The Pirelli Scorpion MX tires allow Matt to dig deep in his heat race to finish in 5th. In the main, Matt would attack the soft Indy track and run right behind teammate Andrew Short in 7th until a bobble sent him to the ground. He would remount, only losing one spot to finish inside the top ten holding on to 8th place. Matt is one point outside the top ten in points, in 11th going into Toronto.
“I felt really comfortable out there,” said Andrew Short. “We have been working hard during the week, and it is starting to come together. I'm confident that we will see the BTO Sports – KTM bike up front.”
