Braun Industries will have 5 unique ambulance models on display at FDIC 2013 in their main booth, along with the GM and Navistar chassis booths.
Van Wert, OH, March 21, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Custom ambulance manufacturer, Braun Industries, is gearing up to head the Fire Department Instructors Conference 2013 in Indianapolis, IN. Representatives from Braun Industries and their dealerships from around the country will be available April 25th through the 27th at the show. Braun will be displaying their "Built for Life" ambulances in their main booth #4420, as well as the GM (#3357) and Navistar (#5345) chassis booths.
Visitors to the Braun ambulance booth will be able to tour three unique emergency vehicle models. The first is a much talked about unit from the City of New Orleans EMS. Catering to the needs of one of the largest EMS departments in the country, the New Orleans unit is a Liberty Type I ambulance on a Ford F-450 4x2 extended cab chassis. The 156" module features 72" headroom, a Whelen LED light package, Whelen Dominator 8 LED light in the grille, an SK4 ultraviolet air purification system, "C" style rubrails with lights, a drive cam event recorder, aluminum cabinets, and Meganite cabinets. The standout option is the Hoseline FT-454 Heat/AC system, which can reduce the temperature in the module from 95 degrees to 78 degrees in just 11 minutes! It is the perfect system for departments in warmer climates, such as New Orleans.
Also on display will be a customer unit from Bernalillo County, New Mexico. It is a Super Chief Type I ambulance on a Freightliner M2 chassis. The 170" module offers 73" headroom. Booth visitors will be able to see a Whelen lighting package, aluminum cabinets, Meganite counter tops, stair chair storage, a bariatric ramp system, and the Zoll E-Series Life Pak Bracket in this module. Additionally, the unit features a custom aluminum console and graphics package.
The last unit in booth #4420 will be a Braun demo unit. The 6,000th vehicle produced by the ambulance manufacturer is a Chief XL on a Chevy G-4500. This unit showcases Braun's design modifications to meet and exceed the new NFPA 1917 standards that will be released in the next few years. The unit includes a Whelen LED series lighting package, EZ Glide Sliding Door, Zolatone door panels, NFPA compliant curbside seating, the Hoseline FT-454 Heat/AC system, angled upper cabinets, easy access equipment drawers, and a 30" wide CPR seat. It is definitely a unit worth seeing!
For active show participants, Braun will be hosting a fun Scavenger Hunt at FDIC as well. More details on the hunt will be released as the show nears. All scavenger hunt entrants with correct answers will receive Braun branded merchandise. One lucky grand prize winner will take home a Kindle Fire 8.9" HD Tablet and custom cover.
In GM Booth # 3357, visitors will be able to see the new Chevy G-4500 chassis the next Brodhead Area EMS ambulance will be built on. The 169" module has a Whelen LED Series Lighting Package, EQ2B siren, ramped floor at rear doors, Meganite countertops, Hoseline FT-454 Heat/AC system, Ferno cot hardware, Chemtron 02 outlets, and custom aluminum cabinets.
