Fresh Tilled Soil Redesigns User Interface for GE Centricity® Patient Online Program
Fresh Tilled Soil created several user interface options for the GE Centricity® Patient Online portals. These portals are designed for use by patients, providers, and healthcare organizations such as hospitals.
Wellesley, MA, August 09, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Fresh Tilled Soil has recently collaborated with GE Healthcare’s Lead User Interface Architect, Steve Fors and the GE Patient Online development team to redesign GE Centricity’s Patient Online User Interface. This time sensitive and challenging project was awarded to Fresh Tilled Soil on the basis of their reputation for delivering high quality, fast turnaround web design and user interface projects.
Using their Rapid Prototype design methodology, Fresh Tilled Soil was able to deliver this project on time and within budget. Fresh Tilled Soil created several user interface options for the GE Centricity® Patient Online portals. These portals are designed for use by patients, providers, and healthcare organizations such as hospitals.
Hospitals license this web based technology to reduce the “call waiting” syndrome associated with doctor’s room visits. These visits are often referred to as e-visits as they can be conducted entirely online. Doctors can make a virtual diagnoses based on the information provided to them by their patients. The system prevents delays associated with travel and waiting times while giving doctors instant access to patients that may be prevented from traveling for various reasons.
Steve Fors, Lead UI Architect at GE Healthcare states, "I just wanted to take a minute and acknowledge the great work Fresh Tilled Soil has been doing on the Patient Online product. Our users/customers were ecstatic at the new designs that you created for us. You really knocked it out of the ballpark."
GE Centricity® Patient Online is a web-based portal that gives busy, health-conscious consumers what they want and need: 24/7 access to care with speed and convenience. Plus, Patient Online promotes a closer partnership with providers for an improved care experience.
Using online self-service tools, patients can manage the administrative, financial, and clinical aspects of their care, including appointments, prescription renewals, bill inquiries and payments, insurance and demographic information updates, and more. And they can send secure communications to their provider within the context of their care. So patients can take control of their health.
Dan Allard, Director of Business Development, commented on the success of the project by saying, "Working with the team at GE Healthcare and IDX was a pleasure. The project could not have gone any smoother in spite of the short deadline, budget constraints and the fact that the client’s team was working from three separate locations. Our team was able to deliver the user interface elements on time and under budget. We were more than satisfied and I know their team was delighted with the outcome."
