She completed her pre-med at the University of the Philippines where she also attained her M.D. Her residencies were completed at the University of the Philippines in General Surgery and Internal Medicine, Wayne State University in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery and attained her Masters of Science in Business Administration. Dr. dela Cruz has been practicing since 1981 and was Board Certified in 1987 by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is affiliated with the Association of Women Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, the American Association for Hand Surgery, the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery and the Medical Missions Foundation. In her spare time, Dr. dela Cruz enjoys painting, playing the organ, hiking and foreign languages.
