TargetGov Announced Scholarship Winners at the HTC Networking Event
The winners of scholarships worth thousands of dollars were revealed at the Howard Tech Council’s Networking Event on March 19th at Union Jacks.
Baltimore, MD, March 23, 2013 --(PR.com)-- TargetGov, a sponsor of the Howard Tech Council’s (HTC) Networking Event on March 19, 2013 awarded seven scholarships to upcoming classes in TargetGov’s Government Contracting Institute. The scholarships were picked from among the attendees of the event, and over $6,750 worth of courses and materials were awarded.
The HTC Networking Event took place on Tuesday, March 19th at Union Jack’s Pub in Columbia. The event was packed with people, many of whom tried to win one of the coveted scholarship prizes.
For each of the seven remaining courses in the Spring 2013 Government Contracting Institute session one scholarship seat was given. The winners and their respective scholarship are listed below.
David Utts, Beacon Point Leadership, won “Proposal Writing Tools for Success.”
Matthew Anderson, McFarlin Insurance Agency, LLP, won “Illuminating the Federal Sales Process.”
Terry Dunlap, Tactical Network Solutions, won “Fundamental Contract and Project Management.”
Marietta Moffett, Datawatch Systems, won “Essential Accounting Components.”
Mike Wasno, Tiresias Technologies, won “Clarifying Legal Requirements.”
Jeffrey Stauffer, BB&T, won “Demystifying Security Clearances.”
Ginny Glover, Business Suites of Columbia, won “Merits and Qualifications of Socio-Economic Certifications.”
The courses awarded at the HTC Networking Event all take place between April and June of this year, 2013.
TargetGov and bwtech@UMBC are working together to bring companies in Maryland the Government Contracting Institute. The courses are all designed to help businesses in their pursuit of federal contracts. Each course will be held at 5520 Research Park Drive in bwtech@UMBC’s Research Park off the University of Maryland, Baltimore County’s (UMBC) campus.
