Advanced Solutions Application Engineer, Heather Adams Will Participate in KSPE MATHCOUNTS

Louisville, KY, March 23, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Advanced Solutions, an Autodesk Platinum Partner and Authorized Training Center (ATC), today announced that Heather Adams, PE, Advanced Solutions Application Engineer, has been invited to participate as part of the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers MATHCOUNTS State Competition.

Heather was approached by Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers, to join the MATHCOUNTS State Competition on March 22-23, 2013 to help evaluate each submittal by participating teams. MATHCOUNTS is a national program sponsored by the National Society of Professional Engineers at the local, state and national levels. This program provides U.S. middle school students with a fun and challenging opportunity to compete as a Mathlete.

The MATHCOUNTS website states, “Currently in our 30th year, MATHCOUNTS is one of the country's largest and most successful education partnerships involving volunteers, educators, industry sponsors and students. President Barack Obama and former Presidents George W. Bush, William J. Clinton, George H.W. Bush and Ronald W. Reagan have all recognized MATHCOUNTS in White House ceremonies. The MATHCOUNTS program has also received two White House citations as an outstanding private sector initiative.”

Heather Adams, Professional Engineer, Advanced Solutions Applications Engineer and Autodesk Certified Instructor (ACI) for the AEC industry, understands the importance of proper education and fueling young minds through fun, yet challenging programs.

“College students are no longer going in the Sciences and we need to get them interested at a younger age. It is very important to me to educate our youth in Math and Science. It is especially important to me as a female to see younger girls interested in Math and Science. Our future depends on these young students and I will help any way that I can,” Heather shared.

By sharing her knowledge and experience, Heather hopes to aid in inspiring middle school children, as well as convey the importance of Math and Sciences in our world today.
