The Center of Workforce Innovations and BlueBean Partner for RFID Awareness and Training
Valparaiso, IN, August 10, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Center of Workforce Innovations of Northwest Indiana is pleased to announce their partnership with BlueBean, the RFID Solutions Company. The partnership was formed in order to increase area employers’ awareness of the value and benefits of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. RFID training will also be provided.
“We are very excited to be working with the RFID experts at BlueBean,” says Tammy Stump, Senior Workforce Associate at The Center of Workforce Innovations. “The Northwest region of Indiana is home to many companies that are involved in transportation, distribution, logistics (TDL), manufacturing and warehousing. These are industries that can see a marked benefit from the use of RFID.”
Many companies have already implemented RFID to improve their business processes and decrease costs. Some examples include:
· tracking incoming and outgoing goods throughout the supply chain
· tracking and managing inventory
· providing secure yard access for trucks and trailers
“Although RFID is not a new technology, some companies have not had the opportunity to learn about its benefits and relative low cost,” says Karen Radde of BlueBean. “Through this partnership we will educate companies about the value and benefits of RFID and even offer training for their employees.”
The Center of Workforce Innovations is continually looking at ways to educate and provide area companies with information that will improve their overall productivity and workflow. “RFID is certainly something that would benefit many of the companies in our area,” adds Stump.
