Academy Award-Nominee and Toy Story Co-Writer Alec Sokolow Publishes Humorous e-Single About Passover

"Haggadah" puts a wildly unconventional spin on the traditional telling of Passover.

New York, NY, March 27, 2013 --(PR.com)-- In his debut e-single, "Haggadah: Get Me Some Satisfaction," script-writer Alec Sokolow shares his hilarious, honest take on the Jewish tradition in a fired-up nutshell. It begins like all Jewish holidays, he writes, “by complaining about the hosts while we’re schlepping over to their house.” In the author’s words, "Haggadah" is “guaranteed to add a jolt of joy and a whiff of whimsy on an obligatory and sometimes stressful night usually celebrated with tan food, bad puns and family dysfunction.”

The ebook is peppered with topical references, witty observations, and cheeky responses. “Why on this night do we eat only unleavened bread,” you ask? “When we escaped from slavery, we were in no mood to bake.” After much humor, it ends with an honest, bittersweet reflection of what the holiday at its core commemorates.

"I started writing this Haggadah for my kids, but much like most things I start to do for my kids, I ended up getting drunk and taking a nap,” says Sokolow. “When I awoke, I found a first draft had magically been written and my wallet was missing. Which reminds me. I've got to get some new kids. Passover should be like the Jewish Thanksgiving, except with no football to bet on or Campbell's Cream Of Mushroom Soup Infused green bean casserole. I'm looking at you Aunt Sadie. Please buy this Haggadah. Tuition don't pay itself and what's 99 cents when the latest Bieber song costs a buck twenty-nine?"

"Haggadah: Get Me Some Satisfaction" was created and distributed by Vook. It is available for $0.99 on Amazon, iBookstore, Barnes & Noble, Vook’s store, Kobo, Samsung, Sony, and Google.
