James McDonough Named President & CEO of Randolph Savings Bank
Canton, MA, March 26, 2013 --(PR.com)-- James McDonough has been elected President and CEO of Randolph Savings Bank according to Richard Pierce, Chairman of the Board. He succeeds Jack Doyle who is retiring.
McDonough most recently served as Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston and currently sits on the Board of Directors of Century Bank. Prior to that he served as President and CEO of Abington Savings Bank for 12 years where he oversaw the bank’s growth from $225 million to $1 billion in assets.
“We are indeed fortunate to have a leader of Jim’s stature and experience assume the role of President and CEO at Randolph Savings Bank,” states Pierce. “He has proven that community banks can grow and prosper and we look forward to having him build upon the strong financial and organizational foundation Jack Doyle has established at our bank over the past three years.”
Pierce acknowledged that McDonough’s reputation in the region comprising Randolph Saving’s Bank primary market area was also a key factor in his selection by the Board of Directors. “Jim is well known and respected in the regional business community for what he accomplished at Abington Savings Bank,” says Pierce. “And that is an important market for our continued growth and success.”
McDonough is a former Chairman of both the Massachusetts Bankers Association and the South Shore Chamber of Commerce and has served on the boards of numerous community service and nonprofit organizations. He was appointed to both the Massasoit Community College Board of Trustees and the Massachusetts Housing Partnership Board of Directors by former Governors.
McDonough lives in Braintree with his wife Lynne McDonough. They have two grown children.
