Savox Communications Launches New Combined Remote Speaker Microphone and Push to Talk Unit for Two Way Radios

Hamm, Luxembourg, March 30, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Savox C-C550 Unit is connected to the user’s professional two way radio and provides both Remote Speaker Microphone and "Push To Talk" functionality in one unit. Normally worn on the chest, this means there is no need to repeatedly reach for the two way radio itself to operate it. The C-C550 is ideal for use when the radio is required to be worn underneath protective clothing.

There are two large Push To Talk buttons providing the flexibility to operate the two way radio in situations where the hands are being used primarily for other tasks. The unit is designed to be used with heavy duty gloves such as those used by firefighters.

The integrated Remote Speaker Microphone allows the user to speak via the unit without the need to reach for the two way radio.

One of the main benefits of this new device is the extreme durability which the unit provides. Being rugged and robust for use in the most extreme situations, the product is approved to MIL-STD-810G and also the IP67 standard, which means it is totally dust proof and submersible in water up to a depth of 1m for 30 minutes. The new product has also endured the new extensive Savox Advanced Field Acceptance environmental tests and is one of the only products on the market today to meet such demanding testing. Intrinsically safe versions are also available.

The C-C550 includes an emergency button, that provides a manual method of sending an alert via the two way radio that the user is in distress. (Note – this only works with radio models that provide this feature).

The Savox C-C550 includes a 4 pole quick release connector which means it is compatible with the wide range of Savox Classic bone microphones and other types of headsets, providing the ultimate flexibility for the user.
