Portland, OR, March 30, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Fit5280 to host The Retro Run 5k in Portland, Oregon, on April 14, 2013 at 9:00 AM.
Emails, meetings, hair appointments - racing against time is running you ragged. Race through time instead with the latest fun-run craze, The Retro Run 5k. Open to runners and walkers of all ages across city streets this spring.
Thousands of runners show up each morning dressed in the decade ensemble of their choice to celebrate the music and culture of the 1960’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. Jog, walk, or do the hustle through 3.1 miles of Retro fun and enjoy the rad 1980’s themed dance party afterwards.
The run, which is untimed, “promotes a positive culture of wellness and a connection to our past; while empowering people with a sense of personal accomplishment and a rockin’ good time,” states Levi Scullion, President of Fit5280, race series operators.
Each Retro Run encourages runners to dress up and bring their dancing sneakers as prizes for best-dressed will be awarded.
The Retro Run Portland, kicks off at 9:00 AM on April 14 at Portland International Raceway.
