Bentonville, AR, March 31, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Walmart customers in West Orange Texas are in for quite a treat. Snack Box quick-serve restaurants is openings its first store in Texas. What makes Snack Box different is that they consistently deliver the most convenient, community-centric, and custom-designed snacks and beverages.

“We will dynamically change the in-store experience through our multi-sensory activation. With our shopping tray we will make it easy for all to have a Snack while shopping and saving at Walmart,” said Mark Levine, Vice President of Marketing.

By employing social, local and mobile media strategies, Snack Box consumers will recognize the innovative sipping, snacking, shopping and savings platform at hand. Through social media, the company will always offer take home offers after checking into Snack Box, soft drink refill alerts and fresh alerts.

Technomic, a food industry research firm, recently revealed key insights about the importance of low-cost snack options in this current economy. “Today’s foodservice consumers continue to base dining decisions on their perception of value,” Executive Vice President Darren Tristano said.

Snack Box’s low cost options ensure that the customer keeps a full wallet, while enjoying delicious snack items. All the while, the customer is blogging, tweeting, and Facebooking about their experience, creating a dynamic presence within social media.

With consumers desiring more on-the-go options, Snack Box aims to fill a gap in the marketplace by providing unique snacking choices available at the world’s No. 1 retailer. According to the Technomic report, “Seven out of ten consumers (71 percent) now purchase beverages away from home twice a week or more often, up from 66 percent in 2010.” Fulfilling the customer’s desire for quick bites and tasty treats is the goal of Snack Box.

The innovative chain will also market exclusive coupon books to customers, filled with pages of savings. These “Re-Treat” books will be printed six times a year.

Snack Box will offer a wide variety of menu items, including everything from Kolaches to Buffalo Chicken Bites; Fresh Baked Cookies, Pretzels, and Cinnamon Roles. Customers will also be able to enjoy several drink options, such as the Spark & Minute Maid Fruit Smoothies.

The first Snack Box was opened in El Dorado, Arkansas in November, the home state of Walmart and Snack Box. The company’s CEO, David Hoodis said, “It was great to open our first store in Arkansas as a proving ground, but it is equally exciting to open our store in Texas, the state where I grew up.” Snack Box is planning on opening several more stores this spring and many more through the next few years.
