Scion Recognizes Footwear Designer Lauren Luna at Motivational Program

Los Angeles, CA, April 02, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Houston footwear designer Lauren Luna was one of the lucky finalists to recently be a part of SCION's Motivate event. Each year SCION promotes the creative industry and holds a contest to engage and motivate young entrepreneurs and help them to run their businesses better and also aids them with this process. In the end 10 winners were chosen but all 50 finalists receive invaluable business coaching, training, a variety of workshops to attend, networking with different industries and business owners, and a free trip to L.A.

Lauren Luna began her career as a visual artist, after graduating from Kent State University's School of Fine Art; focusing of painting. She relocated to New York City, receiving her Master's Degree from Manhattan University. Lauren moved back to Ohio, and enrolled in the Academy of Art University; receiving her second Master's in Fine Art.

In 2011 she relocated to Houston, Texas, where better opportunities exist for professional artists. Her love of art, merged with her love of shoes, naturally progressed for her into designing footwear.

Established in 2008, Lauren Luna LTD is a custom footwear company specializing in the everyday casual style of sneakers to couture stilettos. Custom one-of-a-kind footwear is designed for people who love to stand out. Lauren Luna LTD designs shoes with the individual in mind, shoes that make a statement.

Taking the next step, the Lauren Luna LTD line is now being manufactured with the inaugural line nearly completed. Their first manufactured shoe, Elizabeth, is a plain black leather peep toe, which is has now been customized in several different hand painted styles.

Lauren is a member of the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) and participates in many events around Houston and the U.S. She also is represented by Aesthetic Design Style House to help her gain further brand exposure.

The SCION Motivate event placed Lauren at a level she always knew she could achieve. With a positive attitude and an undying work ethic-- her goals are positioned, with plans to make Lauren Luna a household name.
