Having played a part in helping them advance their career goals, regardless of their business, profession or avocation, have been some of the most rewarding experiences of my life,” said Nikol.
Nikol’s peers not only recognize her business acumen, but view her as a trendsetter and exceptional mentor of women. She joins other outstanding Long Island women who have been recipients of the Achievers’ Award in the past including Town of Hempstead Supervisor Kate Murray, Founder and Executive Director of HorseAbility Katie McGowan, and Attorney Karen Tenenbaum of Karen J. Tenenbaum, P.C.
“Women have made great strides in the past few decades and we expect a great deal from members of the millennial generation and generation X. However, it is important for women to look at the way they were mentored and, based on changes in society, technology and generational differences, we need to be prepared to adjust our approaches. We must never forget where we came from and who helped us achieve our goals. I am humbled to be recognized for the mentoring I have done, much of which was done behind the scenes,” Nikol added.
