New York, NY, April 03, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Irish Academy of Public Relations has introduced an online course in public relations, which is taught in Spanish, and is gaining traction all over the world. “We thought we would give the Hispanic community the option to study in Spanish. Our online PR course is taught by public relations professionals who are all native Spanish speakers,” said Ellen Gunning, Director of the Academy.
The course has registered students spanning the world from Spain to Columbia. The Academy’s Spanish PR tutors are based in Florida (USA), Lima (Peru), Spain, Scotland and Ireland.
The Certificate in Public Relations course teaches participants how to write press releases, organise photo-calls, design newsletters, maximise sponsorship opportunities, get the most from exhibitions, and prepare for crisis. The course is taught over 10 weeks, and students are required to complete one module per week.
From the time they join the course participants are nominated their own personal tutor. This person, a PR professional, offers help, advice and guidance to course participants as they proceed through the course.
“Small to medium sized businesses, charities, sporting bodies, government departments and celebrities all know the importance of good public relations. Now, for the first time, member s of the Hispanic community have a chance to study this fascinating industry in their own language, at their own pace, online, and gain a qualification which is used internationally,” said Ellen Gunning, director of the Irish Academy of Public Relations.
The Academy has graduates working in America, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Lesotho, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates.
