Create! Eugene 2013: Call for Artists, Sponsors, and Venues
Create! Eugene is a month-long event of art and art related workshops taking place August 1-31, 2013. Create! Eugene will showcase the creative workshops available in Eugene and the surrounding communities for August 2013. Featured events include the Eugene Plein Air Paint Out and Competition and corresponding show at the Downtown Initiative for the Visual Arts (DIVA) Center.
Eugene, OR, April 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Create! Eugene is a month-long event of art and art related workshops taking place August 1-31, 2013. Create! Eugene will showcase the creative workshops available in Eugene and the surrounding communities for August 2013. Featured events include the Eugene Plein Air Paint Out and Competition and corresponding show at the Downtown Initiative for the Visual Arts (DIVA) Center.
Call for Artists:
Interested artists and organizations with workshops taking place in August 2013 within Eugene and surrounding communities are encouraged to list workshop information at www.CreateEugene.org. In addition to existing classes and workshops scheduled for the month of August, interested parties may plan and list new events and offerings. Additionally, individuals, organizations and businesses that have not offered workshops or classes in the past are welcome to take this opportunity to plan and list workshops with Create! Eugene.
Examples of arts workshops may include (but not limited to) plein air painting, pottery, dance, music, theater, fashion, textiles, jewelry, glass art, literature, digital and computer arts, culinary arts, brewing, and winemaking.
Listing with Create! Eugene includes opportunities for instruction in workshop development, marketing help and opportunities to be included in featured stories, artist’s interviews, and other original content including text, video and audio.
Create! Eugene is a program of the Arts & Business Alliance of Eugene, Travel Lane County and the City of Eugene, with the objective of branding Eugene and the surrounding area as cultural and creative tourism destinations. Create! Eugene is targeting creative patrons within a 300-mile drive radius. Hotel packages will incentivize participation in multiple workshops
throughout the month.
Call for Sponsors & Venues:
All local businesses are invited to become a part of Create! Eugene. Businesses interested in sponsorship, prize donations and/or hosting workshops at their venues are encouraged to contact Create! Eugene for information or visit www.CreateEugene.org.
An informational meeting on workshop participation is set for April 22, 2013, at 5:30 pm at the Eugene Public Library, Tykeson Room 100, West 10th Ave., Eugene, OR, 97401. RSVP to info@createeugene.org .
