Record Sales for Sentinel Protection
Yateley, United Kingdom, April 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Sonardyne International Ltd. is celebrating a record sales quarter for its Sentinel Intruder Detection Sonar (IDS) for permanent installation at multiple locations across the USA, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Over the coming months, Sentinel will be deployed in multiple head configurations with integrated command and control solutions to protect strategic harbours and critical infrastructure for a range of Government and energy customers. Including options, installation, training and through-life technical support and maintenance, the contracts are valued at over US$20 million. Deliveries will commence in the second quarter of 2013 and continue into 2014.
Recognised as the world’s best performing intruder detection sonar on the market, Sentinel has developed a strong reputation worldwide, protecting strategically important waterside facilities, ports, vessels and military assets. The system reliably detects, tracks and classifies underwater targets approaching a protected asset, providing security personnel with advanced threat warnings.
Commenting on the latest contracts, Rob Balloch, Strategic Development and Marketing Director for Sonardyne said, “Since its introduction in 2009, Sentinel has become the world’s best selling underwater surveillance system, repeatedly proving itself in the most challenging operational environments. These latest orders reflect the substantial and ongoing investment Sonardyne has made in developing Sentinel and demonstrate the increasing awareness of its capabilities in the different markets that require effective and secure underwater protection for their critical maritime infrastructure.”
