Bluegrass Family Health Celebrates Its 20th Birthday

Lexington, KY, April 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Bluegrass Family Health, Inc., (BFH) a subsidiary of Baptist Health, Louisville KY, is a not-for-profit managed care insurance corporation. BFH originated, by Baptist Health-Lexington (Central Baptist Hospital), April 20, 1993 and received its Certificate of Authority from the Kentucky Department of Insurance to operate as a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) in December 1993. BFH proudly enrolled its first members in January 1994.

The BFH Plan was developed to meet a need, expressed by employers, for a local health plan that would offer a high quality, broad-based provider network at competitive prices.
