Austin, TX, April 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Effective immediately, Valerie Walden will have selected pieces of her latest artwork available for viewing and sale at Capital Fine Art Gallery in Austin, Texas. The gallery is located downtown, along burgeoning 6th Street and features notable contemporary artists and significant estate pieces.
Ms. Walden commented: “After founding Austin Artspace Studios and Gallery years ago, and showing my work at other venues like the Art Exchange Gallery and Art City Austin, it is wonderful to have a new home base that will present my work to patrons day-in, day-out.
“And, I’m thrilled to be in such good company. My work appears alongside Amy Ringholz, George Kovach, Judy McCombs, Mark Edward Adams, and a host other outstanding artists.”
James Bollmeyer, owner of Capital Fine Art said this about bringing Ms. Walden’s work into the gallery: “Valerie has a refreshing take on plein air painting. Her visualizations are alive with the energy that comes from painting a scene in real time, while her compositions are more studied, like those you might expect to find in portraiture. She is an ideal complement to the body of work we represent.”
Initially, Capital Fine Art will display some of Ms. Walden’s newest pieces in oil and pastel including Fall Moments, Let It Snow, Fairy Tale Moon, and the larger showpiece, Austin Skies.
Ms. Walden observed: “There is simply no substitute for seeing paintings in the flesh. A large portion my work is posted on my website. But, the pixels can’t really do them justice. The gallery setting at Capital Fine Art presents my work in the best possible way.”
Capital Fine Art is open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Parking is free.
