"For The Life Of Bryan Show" - Tulsa Musicians and Family Rally to Raise Funds for Friend and Retired Tulsa Fire Captain Battling Brain Tumor
Local musicians Charlie Redd and The Full Flava Kings, The Blue, Zen Hipster, Sweatin Bullets, and Freakshow look to raise funds for friend, local music producer and retired Fire Captain battling brain tumor.
Tulsa, OK, April 03, 2013 --(PR.com)-- After experiencing seizures and short-term memory loss, retired Tulsa Fire Capt. Bryan Hanson was diagnosed with a brain tumor the size of a golf ball on January 29th, 2013. The tumor is pressing against his hippocampus on the right side of his frontal lobe. “Due to the risk of the surgery, they want to go ahead and remove the entire tumor,” said Hanson. He went on to say, “I’d rather fight a house fire every day for 6 months rather than have this surgery.”
Retired TFD Capt. Bryan Hanson served from 1991 - 2004 with the Tulsa Fire Department. Local musicians and friends are hosting an all proceeds benefit for Capt. Hanson at IDL Ballroom on April 11th, 2013. “It is amazing that all of these guys would do this for me. The financial benefit for me would go a long way at this point. I’m honored to have folks that I’ve worked with off-duty care so much,” said Hanson. Tickets are $8.00 at the door. All proceeds benefit the Bryan Hanson family.
Mat Donaldson and co-collaborator had this to say, “Along with the multitude of musicians and bands that Bryan has helped shape and refine over the years, he has also continued an "open door" policy and has supported them in their future endeavors. The impact Bryan has made on my life musically is of a grand scale, but our personal friendship to me is immeasurable.”
In addition to the musical performances, The Dog House food truck and desserts by Cupcakes By Jan will be on hand. Additionally, raffle prizes will be given out for a variety of products and services ranging from chef services to massage therapy. Doors open at 6:00 P.M. and Freakshow will kick off the live performances at 7:00 P.M. All proceeds benefit the Bryan Hanson family.
The event is sponsored by: The IDL Ballroom, Drum World, The Law Office of Tomy McDonald, Graphic Resources, and The Dog House Tulsa.
