Casting Hub Member Lands His First Film Role in New York
Chicago, IL, April 07, 2013 --(PR.com)-- A keen interest in the entertainment industry and a passion for acting led Sajid Chaudhary to Casting Hub. Shortly after auditioning and being accepted to Casting Hub, Sajid’s dream of becoming an actor quickly became a reality. He proudly shares his story of landing his first movie role in a film directed by French director Tanguy Conq of Stonestreet Studios.
“I actually submitted myself for the short film through Casting Hub and about a week or two later I received an e-mail from the casting director of a short film “Chinese Food,” shooting in Brooklyn,” Sajid explains.” The feeling I got was an incredible sense of relief and happiness because I had waited a long time hoping to score a role and get my career reel as an actor rolling.”
Sajid arrived on the set in New York enthusiastic and prepared to work. Filming proved to be quite a challenge to the cast and crew at first, due to the cold weather and recent snow storm, but everyone pulled together and Sajid filmed his part as an invaluable background character successfully.
“The cast and directors were really friendly and easy to get along with, and I was really thankful for the opportunity,” he continues. The experience proved to be a lesson on what a true film set is like, and gave him a new perspective on directors, producers, actors and stage equipment, and seeing firsthand how the whole set comes together.
Sajid’s family was happy for him, but nervous about his career choice. “One of my biggest goals is to show my family that this choice in career is something I can pursue and make many accomplishments in,” he says. “I’m doing my best to make my dreams come true. I have a long and bumpy road ahead of me, but I welcome it with open arms.”
