Palm Beach County Charity Chosen Among the Top 200 Charities to Compete for $25,000.00 Grant from State Farm Neighborhood Assist
West Palm Beach, FL, April 07, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Perception Is Everything, Inc., a young, not-for-profit organization in West Palm Beach, Florida, had the good fortune to be the only charity chosen from Palm Beach County to vie for a $25,000.00 grant by the State Farm Youth Advisory Board (YAB). Winners will be chosen based upon the number of votes they acquire through all media sources including TV, Radio, Internet, Email, Texting, Tweeting, Facebook posts, etc., through the following link: https://www.state-assist.com/cause/33/job-search-preparation State Farm YAB consists of thirty students, ages 17-20, from across the United States & Canada who are charged with helping State Farm design and implement a $5 million-a-year signature service-learning initiative to address issues important to State Farm & communities across the United States & Canada.
Their 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organization was incorporated in June, 2011 with the goal of empowering low-income employment candidates who may be our veterans, the homeless, high school and college students and graduates, the formerly incarcerated or homeless, abused or disenfranchised women to improve their odds of becoming gainfully employed, productive citizens through free seminar sessions on the following topics:
