Executive leadership at leading U.S. and U.K. packaging, design and sustainability firms including Printing Industries of America and others to participate in Industry Intelligence’s second quarter i2live webinar series.
Los Angeles, CA, April 10, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Industry Intelligence Inc., a market intelligence and information management company serving the forest products, packaging, and food and beverage industries, today announced the speaker calendar for its second quarter 2013 i2live webinar series. The current calendar features seven speakers in the quarter.
On April 10, Phil Riebel, president and COO of Two Sides U.S., will discuss environmental marketing best practices for paper products as recommended by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. Mr. Riebel will give recommendations for the use of independently verified eco-labels and self-declared environmental claims related to paper products.
On April 17, Tom Szaky, CEO of TerraCycle, will present a case for turning waste into equity. Mr. Szaky will share his thoughts on the state of sustainable packaging and the paths he sees for the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry in the face of the rising costs of resources, packaging taxes and extended producer responsibility (EPR) laws.
On April 30, Ron Davis, VP and senior economist at Printing Industries of America, rounds out April with a discussion of the future of print. The webinar, titled Competing for Print’s Thriving Future, focuses on establishing a new, positive thinking regarding each sector of the print industry—marketing, communications, and logistics.
Two webinars are scheduled in May. On the 15th, Chris Sherwin, head of sustainability at Seymourpowell, will discuss how design can address sustainability issues. On May 29, Roy Bergold, former chief creative officer at McDonald’s Corp., will share his thoughts on marketing best practices with a focus toward kids.
The month of June highlights global packaging trends. SGS, the world’s leading inspection and certification company, will discuss the outlook for environmentally preferable packaging in the U.S. and European markets on June 12. Keith Barns, chairman of The Packaging Society of the U.K., will speak on sustainability, innovations and new global packaging trends on June 26.
