Cambridge, United Kingdom, August 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Singer/Songwriter/Humanitarian Danelle Harvey's EP Home - dedicated to Fair Trade will be re-issued Monday 13th August 2007. She has chosen Cambridge as the place to kick it off. London’s Danelle Harvey has the title of World’s first Fair Trade media/music artist after being the first signing to ethical media label Fair Trade Media two years ago, since then she has launched her own record label and has become a spokesperson speaking up for “those who can’t” worldwide, actively being involved in rally’s and campaigns including one headed by spokesperson Bianca Jagger in Edinburgh 2005.
Her Record label Tygahoney Music and business philosophy is based on the Fair Trade ideal, she is keen that the fair wage and equal rights tag is adopted in the developed world too, her forward thinking approach has recently been adopted in the mainstream and there are signs of Major artists using this approach too. Danelle has been approached by various Major labels and artist representatives in the US to collaborate with high profile performing artistes and is in talks to secure a writing and licensing deal with top name music acts on the other side of the Atlantic. She has recently signed a distribution deal in the US which will soon see her own music in stores worldwide.
Her current release, the E.P entitled 'Home' will be available on
I-Tunes alongside other digital stores including her own Indie store and her independently run record label’s download store. It is available on CD direct from Tygahoney Music and stores including Ethicalsuperstore.com A percentage of proceeds from her music sales goes directly to Fair Trade crop producers in the developing world and will also go to various local community projects closer to home. One example of this is her upcoming album Tortured Soul which has been written, recorded, arranged and produced by her, it will be dedicated to a British charity for female victims of domestic violence.
Last Year Danelle was flown over to New York to meet and hang out with George Clinton. After a brief stay she returned home to continue recording her upcoming solo album. She was asked by TV show Popworld to take part in their Popworld and Oxfam OXJAM event last year and has just finished a tour - billing in Miami this year alongside Robin S. Her last stop was Sri Lanka in April where she ended up on Sri Lankan television, including Sri Lanka’s MTV championing her alternative brand of Acoustic soulful folk music. Her voice and work continues to receive praise from highly established artists including George Clinton, Jerome Rodgers, Robin S and Simon Webbe formerly of the band 'Blue'.
Danelle has worked with a number of artists including Meatloaf, P-Diddy, ex label-mate Alison Limerick and Shaft. Currently her voice can also be heard nationwide on TV shows that include the number 1 teen soap Hollyoaks.
