EMD Law LLP Offer Fixed Fees for Family Matters
EMD Law LLP are fixing fees for family issues allowing people to find out the cost of fees before they instruct the solicitor.
Kent, United Kingdom, April 11, 2013 --(PR.com)-- EMD Law LLP have announced that they will be offering fixed fees for family matters as a result of the recent legal aid cuts. EMD Law LLP already offer fixed fee divorces but they now offer fixed fees for other family matters such as financial settlement, children’s proceedings, Separation Agreements, Pre-Nuptial Agreement, Cohabitation Agreements and Applications for Non-Molestation Orders.
The idea is that it will take away the uncertainty of hourly rates so clients know exactly what they will have to pay at the outset. There will still be the option for hourly rates but it will be up to the clients to decide whether they want to opt for the hourly rate or fixed fee scheme.
Legal aid cuts have affected family law, immigration and employment, meaning that more and more people are now representing themselves in court with these areas. The family solicitors Kent will be helping those affected by the cuts by offering fixed fees, which will provide clients with the costs up front to enable them to budget.
Catie Dumbleton-Moore, Partner at EMD Law said, "At EMD Law we recognise the fact that clients often need certainty in terms of costs to enable them to budge so we have introduced a fixed fee option for a number of family matters. We hope that this will help clients who have been affected by the legal aid cuts as well as other clients who previously would not have been able to instruct solicitors."
