Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha County Dedication

Waukesha, WI, August 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha County (HFHWC) is proud to announce the dedication of their newest home on at 718 E. North St. in the City of Waukesha. The ceremony will be on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow.

Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha County has built this home for a local family that was selected last year that met the family selection requirements. The homebuyers put in “sweat equity”, 500 hours of work on their own home, as their down payment and after closing on the complete home will have a no interest loan through Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha County. Materials and labor are donated or purchased at a reduced cost to keeping the cost of the home to a reasonable amount for the family.

Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha County has been an important part of Waukesha and surrounding communities since it was founded in 1989. They have built or rehabilitated 12 homes to date throughout the County. HFHWC is a part of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. HFHI seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
