SWACHA Announces First Annual Executive Leadership Payments Summit in Dallas on May 30, 2013
Dallas, TX, April 12, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Inaugural Summit to Focus on the Future of Mobile Payments
Dallas-based SWACHA, one of the largest not-for-profit regional payments associations in the country, unveiled today plans for its inaugural Executive Leadership Payments Summit. This Payments Summit is designed to bring together leaders from banking and the electronic payments industry throughout the country to elevate the conversation on the challenges and opportunities facing the electronic payments industry.
Scheduled for May 30, 2013 in Dallas, the 2013 Executive Leadership Payments Summit, “Going Mobile: Revolution or Evolution?” will focus on the future of mobile payments along with the changing regulatory landscape of the electronic payments industry, and will showcase distinguished speakers such as Marianne Crowe, vice president Payment Strategies Group with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Jan Estep, president and CEO of NACHA, Erin Fonte, shareholder with Cox Smith Attorneys, and Matthew Friend, senior director at Accenture.
“We want this conference to become the place where the executive leadership in the banking and financial industries can come together and have discussions that will shape the future of the electronic payments industry,” said Dennis Simmons, AAP, President and CEO of SWACHA. “There isn’t a better way to kick-start this annual summit than focusing on mobile payments, one of the fastest-growing and most innovation-driven businesses in the electronic payments industry. Because of its importance to our industry, it is imperative that we lead the discussion on how to embrace this technology, not follow it.
“We are also pleased to present the results of our third consumer insights survey at the Payments Summit. This survey, which looks at consumer behavior related to mobile banking, bill payment and other money-related behaviors, has become valuable tool for our members and others throughout the electronic payments industry, as they look to formulate their business plans going forward.”
