Matthew 25: Ministries, a top-ranked international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio departs for its annual mission trip to Haiti on April 19, 2013.
This year’s relief team consists of Matthew 25: Ministries staff, led by CEO and Disaster Relief Coordinator Tim Mettey, a team of volunteer medical professionals and representatives from Cintas Corporation and Cintas’ Clothe the Kids Program. Cintas is one of Matthew 25: Ministries’ most generous corporate donors, with many of the company’s top quality products supporting programs and helping people in Haiti. Its Clothe the Kids program supplies hundreds of children in Haiti with new clothes, shoes and underwear. This year, two Cintas employees, including a Cintas corporate executive, will be distributing Clothe the Kids products and participating in medical clinics during the 6-day trip.
“Year after year, I see how excited our employee-partners get supporting the Clothe the Kids cause,” said John Thompson, Vice President of Distribution and Global Logistics for Cintas. “It is an honor for me to witness the direct impact our company’s efforts have on a country like Haiti, but to help bring that message of hope back to our 30,000 employee-partners across North America will also be an amazing experience,” he added.
The Matthew 25: Ministries team will provide clothing to more than 200 orphans, medical care to approximately 400 children and adults and feed over 400 people while on the ground in Haiti.
“The work we do in Haiti is so important for the people we serve,” says Matthew 25: Ministries CEO and Disaster Relief Coordinator Tim Mettey. “Many of the people we see have no other access to medical care and many of the children who receive clothing have never had a new piece of clothing before. But most important is the message of hope we bring with us – letting these people know that they are loved and cared for and that we are there to make their lives better.”
