Minnesota Dentist Provides Volunteer Dental Care in Jinja, Uganda Africa

Apple Valley, MN, April 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Charles Miller of Distinctive Dental in Minnesota recently traveled with Larry Ihle, from Dexterity Dental Lab and a team of volunteers to donate dental care services in Jinja in the Uganda, Africa region. For two weeks, the team provided dental care including cleanings, extractions and daily hygiene lessons for people in the impoverished area.

Along with prevention, the team worked with local dentists to perform many surgeries, correcting dental infections that could persist throughout the patients' lifetimes. Without access to regular dental care many of the people in Uganda could suffer lifetime health problems from poor dental hygiene. “The people in Africa have great warmth about them and wonderful smiles. I am proud to work with such a talented group of volunteer to help the people of Jinja maintain those smiles long into their adult lives,” says Dr. Miller.
